TGS 2018: New Resident Evil 2 Remake trailer and gameplay demo

Resident Evil 2’s reveal at E3 2018 took everyone by surprise, as many thought it was still stuck in developmental hell. Then at Gamescom we got to see Claire’s side of things as she searches for her brother Chris. Now at TGS 2018 this past weekend, a new trailer was released introducing some familiar faces:

Capcom also shared new details about the game. In the original Resident Evil 2, players were able to swap between Leon’s story (story A) and Claire’s story (story B). Depending on which story players picked first, certain details, weapons and events would differ. This was called “zapping”. In the Resident Evil 2 Remake, “zapping” is gone, as Capcom has decided to tell a unique story for each character, proving a compelling point of view of the main campaign from each side. Resident Evil 2 Remake is set for a January 25, 2019 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
