On Wednesday evening, Square Enix held a special event in Los Angles called UNCOVERED: Final Fantasy XV. This event was to finally give updates about the progress of Final Fantasy XV, which has been reportlly in development for over a decade. And there were ton of updates that made fans either very excited or weary. One reveal that I would like to get out of the way first is that Square Enix revealed that they will be producing another CGI movie that takes place in parallel to the event of the game. The title of the movie is called KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY and here is a first look at the teaser trailer:

KINGSGLAIVE tells the story of what happens to the Kingdom of Lucis before and during the events of Final Fantasy XV. The movie has an all star cast with Sean Bean as King Regis, Lena Headly as Princes Luna and Aaron Paul as Nyx. As grand as the trailer and the scope of the movie seems to be, KINGSGLAIVE will not be shown in theaters. Instead the movie will be released worldwide days before the release of Final Fantasy XV.
