In addition to the Japanese fashion guests of honor for San Japan 8-bit, San Japan also included two guests of honor that represented the anime industry. These two were Yuji Matsukura of JC Staff and Mitsuru “Mick” Kouzai of Studio GX. They took time out of their busy scheduled (especially Matsukura-san since one of his projects is still airing) to attend San Japan 8-bit to interact with Western fans. They also participated in a press conference in which they gave some details about their backgrounds and how they ended up working in the anime industry:
