After receiving a really good reception with Hyperdimention Neptunia Re;Birth 1 on the Vita, Idea Factory International announced back n August that they would be remaking Hyperdimention Neptunia mk.2 into Hyperdimention Neptunia Re;Birth 2 Sisters Generation. For those who need a reminder about what the sequel is about Hyperdimention Neptunia mk.2 stars the sisters of the CPU goddesses who are in training to become goddesses themselves. The original goddesses are captured and its up to Nepgear and friends to save their sisters and Gamindustri from the evil forces of ASIC. In Re;Birth 2 IF will be adding new content, characters and much more that wasn’t in the game the first time around. The only information that was left out was a specific release date. Which IF has recently revealed this past week. In a press release, IF has announced that Re;Birth 2 will be seeing a January 27, 2015 release in North America and on the 30th for the EU. To celebrate the news, IF released a new batch of screenshots of the game and the opening movie in English:
Personally I really enjoy the Neptunia series and is my current go to JRPG that isn’t Final Fantasy. Sure there’s a lot of cheesecake/fan service in the games, but it doesn’t take itself too seriously and is pretty tame. The Vita is quickly becoming home to quirky and weird and I for one like that.
