Last month before the servers shut off, Square Enix released a trailer showing the end of the world for the Final Fantasy XIV world of Hydaelyn. Near the end of the trailer we see the heroes engulfed in a beam of light, never to be heard from again. Or so we though.
Square Enix today has released an extended trailer to the world ending event that shows from darkness and despair come hope and life and the return of some familiar faces:
Where as the last trailer just ended, this new one has an extended ending, showing off the reborn world of Hydalyn before the moon crash. We then see that the heroes have been transported to this new realm and once again ride towards new adventure. Beta sign ups for the PC and finally the PS3 are starting up, so if you have yet to experience FF XIV this will be you chance.
