Final Fantasy Explorers to be localized, limited edition revealed

Since it was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show last year, Final Fantasy Explorers was a title for some odd reason that fans took notice of. Maybe it was the cutesy art design or maybe the hunter style gameplay with various Final Fantasy character, whatever the reason, fans were demanding for a Western localization. Which SE fulfilled with delight and surprise. During Nintendo’s first Direct since the passing of Iwata, it was revealed that Nintendo and SE announced a Western localization for Final Fantasy Explorers for the 3DS and revealed a special limited collector’s edition that is only available through the SE online store. The limited collector’s edition will come with the following items:

  •  32-page artbook featuring illustrations by renowned artists Yoshitaka Amano, Gen Kobayashi and Toshiyuki Itahana
  • “Songs for the Journey,” a 20-track music soundtrack sampler comprised of tracks by celebrated Composer Tsuyoshi Sekito
  • Themed Final Fantasy Explorers Nintendo 3DS Exclusive box packaging, featuring the artwork of series concept artist Amano



Final Fantasy Explores will be released on January 26, 2016 on the 3DS for $39.99. The limited collector’s edition will be released on the same day for $69.99 exclusively in the SE online store.
